The primary responsibilities of the successful applicant will be to plan and coordinate education and clinical skills both bespoke and structured for AMU, playing a pivotal role in the recruitment and retention of staff. You will play a key role in maintaining clinical quality and ensuring that clinical governance standards are upheld. You will also have responsibility for nurturing and developing the nursing Team to maximize its potential and focusing on strategies to maintain and improve staff well-being. The post holder will lead on aspects of the Professional Development strategy for AMU, The post holder will be an expert practitioner, and will be expected to provide leadership and direction to the AMU team The post holder has the responsibility for assessing educational and developmental needs of all levels of nursing and other non - medical staff, devising and implementing strategies to address both individuals' and service needs. You will be a passionate, adaptable, organised individual leading a small team, and with the responsibility for the training budget within Acute Medicine.
