Our team are spread across three sites, Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn, and James Paget Hospital Great Yarmouth. This role will be at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital where you will be based within the Urology team and would be joining a busy team who are responsible for supporting the Oncology Specialty Nurses and Doctors. The successful candidate would also be responsible for being a point of contact for cancer patients along their pathway. We are seeking an individual with excellent administration skills, organisational and I.T skills, and a knowledge of medical terminology is desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to have good communication and organisational skills. To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service,all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Dedication, Integrity and Excellence. About us Actively track patients urgently referred to the Trust from General Practitioners (GP) who, are suspected at referral, of having Cancer. Ensure that these patients are listed on the Trust Cancer IT system. Ensure that appropriate requests for investigations are initiated following the clinicians instructions and appointments are given. To adhere to the Trusts General Principles and Guidelines on Patient Access in relation to the management of waiting lists. Ensure that any newly diagnosed Cancer patients are identified and added to the Trust Cancer IT system. Ensure that the patient is known to the clinical team and that appropriate action is taken to manage the patient on the agreed pathway. Highlight any potential delays or breaches of the patient pathway according to the Trust escalation policy. Please note that this advertised position, which is part of occupation code 4111 does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa (this includes if you are already in a sponsored post and looking to change employer). The Trust would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.
