We are looking to recruit an experience nurse to join our Trauma service for the next 18months, to ensure an efficient, safe high quality service is delivered to our patients. This post will be based at UCLH within Emergency Service division, closely working with our emergency, acute medicine teams, and across Trust boards. Candidates should have experience in emergency or/and trauma care, demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to manage a patient caseload. In partnership with members of the multi-disciplinary team the Trauma Nurse Coordinator will develop, implement, and evaluate a trauma pathway, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of trauma care. They act as a lead trauma nurse specialist and will demonstrate a high level of expertise within the service, providing specialist advice, education and support to healthcare professionals and patients. The post holder will actively undertake clinical audits and research within the specialist area. The post holder will be responsible for contributing to the on-going development of clinical practice, research, and standards of care within the service, including development of policies, protocols and guidelines and contribute to service developments in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.
