When you volunteer with us, you help to improve patient experience through supporting staff with patient care. A&E Volunteer (Over 18's) Provide directional support to guide patients to the correct areas within A&E and other parts of the hospital Chat & engage with patients Offer food & drink if allowed Ensure kitchen areas are clean Activity boxes - supporting older patients by engaging in activities to improve their wellbeing supporting Northamptonshire Carers Hospital team Sluice - Tidy rooms, ensuring stock for staff like alcohol wipes, specimen pots Linen trolleys - each area has different requirements, check the needs, and restock as required, ensuring it is tidy This role is available Monday to Sunday between the hours of 8am-8pm. Response Volunteer This role is based on the needs of the hospital and will involve working across all departments, tasks are allocated when you come to the office to start your shift Collecting and delivering notes / swabs / medication / equipment & running errands from various departments / wards Providing a courtesy 'Meet & Greet' service (wheelchair training required) Assisting with patient / family video calls on wards Operating a library service to wards Visiting / chatting to patients who may not have visitors Assist with wellbeing rounds, offering drinks to patients This role is available Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am- 4pm.
