This is an ideal post for a geriatrician who enjoys being hands on and working closely with colleagues in primary, secondary and intermediate care. There are opportunities to get involved in admission prevention, virtual wards, proactive community services for older people living with frailty, advance care planning and end of life care. The environment within the hospital is ideal for older patients who need high quality medical and nursing care but not intensive medical intervention or referral to more specialist services.
