The successful candidate will: Provide clinical input / insight as we design and evaluate services Offer clinical support and advice to PCN Management and Board Lead clinical supervision and workforce development for PCN staff Ensure the PCN is meeting key contract and system requirements Develop relationships, represent the PCN and help bring together wider stakeholders The right candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical skills, brilliant communication, analytical thinking and financial literacy. Youll need to be confident, proactive, adaptable and resilient. You should have a strong understanding of GP Primary Care and the wider NHS system (incl. ICBs and PCNs). If you have experience working locally that will be helpful, but its not required. It is a key role requirement that you are a practicing qualified clinician who is currently working or would be happy to work in a member practice in the PCN. About us Role title: NL PCN Clinical Director Term and reviews: This is a two-year fixed-term post, with the position being subject to an annual review after an initial 6-month probationary review. Introduction: Over the last five years, Primary Care Networks (PCNs) have become a vital component of the GP Primary Care landscape. They enable groups of practices to work together to build greater resilience and deliver improved care for patients by delivering certain services at scale. As per statutory guidance, each PCN must appoint a named Clinical Director (CD) who is accountable for ensuring the PCN delivers on the requirements set out in the Network Contract DES (the DES). Within North Lewisham PCN (NL PCN), the CD will work in close partnership with our PCN Managing Director (MD) and wider management team to ensure our PCN meets the goals/objectives set out by the board and member practices. In this role, you will be provide clinical input/insight as we design and evaluate services, offer clinical support and advice, and help bring together wider stakeholders (including the ICB). The CD will also help foster a culture of quality improvement within the PCN and ensure were meeting our requirements under the Network Contract DES. The CD will work pari-passu with our PCN MD to ensure we have both clinical and managerial skills at the table as we develop and maintain our PCN. The CD will be accountable to Board of North Lewisham PCN ltd.
