We have one Band 6 vacancy within our Integrated Mental Health & Substance Misuse Team at HMP Garth. The successful applicants will assist in the overall delivery of care to patients within the mental health and clinical substance misuse team of HMP Garth. You will be responsible for thecare needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care for mental health and clinical substance misuse. The successful applicant is required to demonstrate a \"can- do\" attitude, be resilient and possess excellent leadership qualities. Healthcare services operate 7 days a week and the successful applicants would need to be flexible in their approach to meeting the demands of the service. The successful candidate will assist the Team Manager and Senior Management to lead and develop a team of healthcare staff and visiting professionals. They will work towards providing the highest standard of care for the prison population ensuring consistent and effective nursing practice as well as operational activity. To lead and manage referrals into the service , arrange assessments, prioritise Crisis intervention. Prioritise and organise teams workload. Provide expert clinical leadership to the team, ensuring delivery of effective clinical expertise and advice to the team, including the provision direction and participation. To manage and take responsibility for a defined caseload and ensure full compliance with the CPA, Safeguarding, Vulnerable Adults and other policies at all times. To ensure a culture of care is evident within the team where clinical staff enable and empower service users. Provide professional supervision and management supervision to an agreed number of nurses within theteam. Provide expert support to nurses in:- Completing needs assessment to service users. In risk assessment and management. In crisis planning and management. In assessing and responding to patient/ carer's needs. In care planning and review of care plans.
