An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 nurse to join the chronic pain service. The Chronic Pain Service is looking for a highly motivated , enthusiastic individual with an interest in pain management. The aim of our service is to provide care, optimise pain management and to improve quality of life. Our innovative biopsychosocial model delivers evidence based service tailored to the needs of our patients. You will be joining the pain management service as a clinical nurse specialist with a focus on caring for patients with chronic pain. As part of this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with the senior clinical nurse specialist and other members of the multi-disciplinary team. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and motivational skills and be committed to continue the excellent team work displayed within the service. This is a permanent post in the chronic pain outpatient service. The post holder will develop their specialist knowledge in providing healthcare to selected patients that are referred to the Outpatient Chronic Pain Management Service. The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the management of those patients they treat and refer in close collaboration with the lead clinician, working within established protocols and contributing to the continued development of the service and education provision to staff and patient.
