We are looking for a team player who is forward thinking and passionate about patient care and rehabilitation, who can join us as we further develop our service to meet the demands of the local population. The successful physiotherapist must be working as a Band 5 and willing to work towards the competency framework for a Band 6 Senior Physio role. Once competencies have been achieved, the successful candidate will be expected to complete a presentation evidencing their Band 6 competency in order to progress to a Band 6 physiotherapist. You will need to be experienced in managing patients with a variety of conditions, and be able to use your assessment and clinical judgement skills to the full. Ideally, you will also have some community experience. This post will involve working flexibly within the community and at times working on a community rehab ward. This may be in the form of rehabilitation and/or care support plans. You will be expected to be part of our Lead Professional of the Day rota, Discharge to Assess and contribute to the rapid response functions of the team. The ICC also delivers group based rehabilitation in patients homes , hospital gym setting and community hospital ward and at times staff may be required to flex to cover the whole ICC. The post holder will use their professional knowledge and skills to support physiotherapy students on placement, and contribute to the ongoing learning and development of staff within the team and local MDT. The successful applicant would be supported by a team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Assistant Practitioners, Rehab Assistants, Home Care Practitioners and Hub coordination staff. We work very closely with the local GPs, District Nurses and Mental Health Team, as well as Adult Social Care and other agencies. The core working hours of the service are Mon to Fri 8.00-18.00 but the post holder will be included on a rota to cover late shifts, weekend working and Bank Holidays.
