The Hertfordshire and west Essex ICB are also hosting the Pharmacy and Optometry team for the six ICBs in the East of England. To ensure effective delivery of these delegated functions and our statutory responsibilities, the ICB has identified a need to recruit to existing vacancies within the primary care contracting team. This role is open to internal applicants only and provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and to support the delivery of national and local ambitions, working with a variety of stakeholders. Herts and West Essex ICB is seeking to recruit a Primary Care Contracting Administrator to support the delivery of the delegated contracting and commissioning functions and the delivery of effective commissioning of primary care services across the ICB; with a focus on general medical services. The postholder will work in partnership across all Directorates in the ICB, through a multi-disciplinary approach, to support general practice and primary care networks to ensure they are resilient and sustainable in the long-term. The postholder will have access to specific training programmes on Primary Care contracts to support their personal development. Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide and coordinate administrative and secretarial services; including for example, the preparation of agendas and minutes, taking appropriate follow-up action as required. Supporting the team with the management of projects which may be at place or across system to support development of staff, gathering information and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary for the head of department, teams and the department.
