This post in the field of General Adult Psychiatry following a service reconfiguration and closure of a mixed gender ward. The post holder will provide input into H2 (Hadrian 2) Working Age Adult (WAA) male assessment and treatment, located within Carleton Clinic, Carlisle. As an added bonus, the Trust is located in the Northeast of England and Cumbria which is an area of outstanding natural beauty, containing national parks, ancient heritage sites and major cities supported by excellent national and international transport links. The area is predominantly rural and contains the Lake District National Park which is considered one of England's finest areas of natural beauty. Hadrian 2 is an adult acute ward with currently 10 beds. The ward has roughly two admissions per week. The Nurse Consultant on the ward has RC responsibilities for the ward. The post holder will share the RC responsibilities for the caseload on the ward. There will be support for the post holder to have trainer responsibilities. The ward currently has an International Medical Fellow doctor and a trust grade doctor in the post. You will have your own office space and will be supported by a medical secretary.
