We have a new, exciting opportunity for an experienced GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician to take up a full time position of Specialist Governance Pharmacy Technician. You will join our well-established, committed and friendly Medication Safety and Governance teamsupport the development and delivery of robust procedures to ensure safe use of medicines for our patients both within the Pharmacy and in the wider Trust. Job Summary Pro-actively identify safety/governance/risk management issues relating to medicine management. Support the pharmacy department in the achievement of the regulatory medicines management standards Communicate effectively with a wide range of staff to ensure awareness of relevant medicines management issues Provide quality assurance and maintain robust systems for medicines safety incident management within the department and Trust wide, including proactive management of intelligence regarding near miss incidents reported About us Please see Job Description for full details Develop education and training materials and support delivery of training to increase the capability of staff workforce both within pharmacy and the widerorganisation Design, undertake and support the implementation of actions and tests of change arising from audit and research and ensure monitoring is in place to completion/impact assessment. Provide expert input to quality improvement project teams to support the medication safety and governance agenda across the Trust Support the regular review and implementation of therapeutic/clinical guidelines and Medicines Management Code. Support audit and evaluation of new drug applications to the Clinical Development and Evaluation Group (CDEG). Support the delivery of training of pharmacists and technicians (pre and post registration) in medication safety and governance. "}
