Band 5 Urology Support Nurse Secondment Opportunity Are you interested in Urology? Do you enjoy working within a diverse, acute and out-patient environment which gives you the opportunity to develop within the specialty? If so the Urology Nurse Practitioners are looking for a support nurse to join their team. WHERE WE ARE: Kettering offers great access to all the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. It has excellent road and rail network links to and from London, the East Midlands and Birmingham and the hospital is just off the A14 giving easy access to the M1. You will have the opportunity to work at one of the satellite clinics at Nene Park. A Secondment opportunity to cover maternity leave with the urology specialist nurses. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: You will be assisting and supporting the Nurse Practitioners in out-patient clinics, and other nurse led services. You will perform general urological nursing tasks in relation to patient care and act as point of contact, liaison to community members and advocate to patients within the specialty delivering individualised and personalised patient care. You will work predominantly 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday, however hours can be negotiated and flexible working will be required for the provision of Saturday clinics, according to service need. About us The Urology Nurse Practitioners provide specialist nursing and clinical support to urology patients across the trust in both, in-patient, day case and out-patient settings. As a part of this team you will be able to develop specialist skills and knowledge in the Urology field and work collaboratively with the clinicians and other multi-disciplinary team members ensuring the delivery of high quality and clinically effective care.
