This successful candidate will join a forward-thinking, dynamic, developing and enthusiastic team providing evidence based Respiratory care to the population of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. The Respiratory Service is well established and provides; Community Oxygen Assessment Service, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, advice and guidance and in reach to the NHS@Home virtual ward. This post will be based in New Friends Hall,Stapleton, Bristol but you will travel across the BNSSG area. You will be part of our multi-disciplinary respiratory team which consists of Respiratory Specialist Nurses, physios, exercise instructors and fellow assistant colleagues. As a specialist service we recognise that applicants may not already possess the specific skills so we offer training and competency frameworks to achieve these. You will however need to show willingness to learn, flexibility and good communication skills that span across our pathways. This role is part time at a maximum of 33hrs per week. To undertake highly skilled support work to aid the rehabilitation and management of respiratory patients, within the community setting and accept patients delegated by a nurse/ therapist and be responsible for the delivery of patient care. To use clinical judgement within the scope of practice, and be able to work independently and flexibility without direct supervision. To contribute to providing a professional service, working effectively as an integral team member and supporting the overall delivery of community respiratory services including Pulmonary Rehabilitation, NHS@Home respiratory pathway, community oxygen service and education/training of other healthcare professionals.
