You may have experience of working with physical health problems with either children/families or adults, or experience of working in child and adolescent or adult mental health services with a keen interest and desire to apply that knowledge to work in an acute trust.There are a number of exciting opportunities for band 8a clinical psychology posts working in the following medical services:1) Paediatric Renal (1.0 WTE 8a),2) Paediatric Endocrinology, DSD & Diabetes (0.6 WTE 8a),3) Paediatric Respiratory (0.4 WTE)4) Paediatric LTV (long-term ventilation) (0.4WTE 8a) The postholder will join the respective paediatric medical service/s at Nottingham Children's Hospital (QMC). As a psychologist working in these medical services, you will provide a specialist clinical psychology service for children/young people to help them better manage psychological distress and obtain better treatment outcomes. The main duties of the role will involve working closely with the medical service multidisciplinary Team. You will work with children and young people through consultation to staff, direct work and by attending multidisciplinary clinics. Your base will predominantly be at the Children's Hospital QMC campus. You will be part of a welcoming and growing Clinical Psychology Department which incorporates specialisms in Paediatric Psychology, Adult Medical Psychology and Child and Adult Neuropsychology.
