The post-holder will have the required level of training and competence and will work within patient group directions where these are available. A nurse with prescribing qualifications will use them appropriately. Job Responsibilities Professional Ensure awareness of statutory and local clinical protection procedures, including systems of referral. Ability to recognise signs and symptoms of abuse. Perform CPR according to current UK guidelines. Recognise and manage anaphylaxis according to current UK guidelines. Infection Control lead in practice. Effective and accurate record keeping. Administrative and Managerial Contribute to the assessment of service needs. Contribute a nursing perspective to the practice development plan. Aware of identification and reporting procedures related to professional standards. Attend practice and PCN meetings Ensure effective relationships and communications with the PHCT and other agencies. Support the Practice clinical governance agenda. Identify changes to clinical practice that are required to implement evidence-based guidelines. Proactive approach and ownership of all areas of responsibility. Educational Identify personal development and training needs in conjunction with the practice management. Participate in clinical supervision if required. Support others with their training and development needs.. Personal Maintain good working relations. The successful candidate is someone who is motivated and committed to providing high quality care, working collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of our patients. Previous experience of working in general practice is essential. Management of chronic disease -monitoring and development of individual care plans, agreeing these as appropriate with the patient and other health professionals . Family planning & woman's health including cervical smears. Travel health advice and vaccinations. Child immunisations and advice. Deliver local and national vaccination programmes QOF, DES & LES Implementation. CVD Clear programme monitoring. Assist in the provision of minor surgery and family planning clinics.
