We are looking for a dedicated candidate for the post of Specialty Doctor/Dentist in OralMedicine. This part-time substantive position will provide the successful candidate with asound introduction to clinical Oral Medicine and provide additional insight into the influenceof systemic disease on oral mucosal disease. The Unit works closely with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the other dental specialtieswithin the dental hospital. Additionally, it has close links with the departments ofRheumatology, Dermatology, Ear Nose and Throat, Haem-Oncology, Gastroenterology andGenito-Urinary Medicine within the Trust.The Unit is well supported by an enthusiastic nursing and management team. Specialist interests include Sjgren's Syndrome, Behcet's disease, dysplasia, oralmanifestations of systemic disease and autoimmune muco-cutaneous disorders. The servicecurrently has multidisciplinary clinics involved in the delivery of the Behcet's Centre ofExcellence, Sjogren's syndrome and more recently a dysplasia MDT clinic with OMFS andnewly appointed CNS.
