Given this post sits within the transferring service, in line with the legislative requirements, the successful candidate will be part of the TUPE transfer along with other colleagues. Build and develop good working relationships the wider multi-disciplinary team. Make contact with children, young people and families in a variety of community settings e.g. family homes , family centres, child health drop-ins and clinics. To undertake development assessments when trained to do so. To manage a delegated case load Provide evidence based care to parents and children e.g. breast feeding, behaviour management Identify and support children, young people and families through health needs assessments who have unmet health needs, provide support and targeted interventions and where necessary refer to specialist services Take appropriate action in cases of suspected or actual child abuse, working within Surrey safeguarding childrens code of practice and procedures. Attend child protection conferences/core groups as required and participate in safeguarding supervision Assist in research and service audits Supervise junior member and pre-Registration student nurses in the 0-19 team as directed by the SCPHN.
