Are you a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse or an experienced Staff Nurse currently working in an HDU/ critical care area, looking for a new challenge? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Registered Nurse to join our team on the Respiratory High Dependency Unit within the medicine care group, at Southampton General Hospital. RHDU team care for patients with a variety of acute respiratory conditions, requiring non-invasive ventilator support. The department is purpose built with substantial side rooms and facilities. We are very proud of the outstanding care that we provide to our patients and are looking for a like-minded individual with a strong focus on patient care, proven leadership skills and the ability to work inter-professionally. About us What youll do As a band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse, it will be your responsibility to use effective leadership and communication skills to ensure a high standard of patient-centred care from your team. You need to be an approachable, pro-active and dedicated nurse with sound clinical skills. You will work as an educator supporting junior members of the nursing team to achieve their learning needs along side the dedicated education team. You must have recent experience in a HDU / critical care environment and have the confidence to work collaboratively as an active member of the RHDU multidisciplinary team, advocating for your patient and nursing colleagues.
