The successful applicant will be working as part of the allied health professional team to offer care, advice, and support for patients within the surgery. You should have experience of clinical skills including phlebotomy, have good organisational skills and, work well as part of a team. Ideally you will have experience of working in general practice, however we will consider applications from wider healthcare settings such as secondary care. About us Clinical Care Work alongside medical, nursing, and allied health professional colleagues to provide high quality patient care. Undertake HCA clinics including phlebotomy, ECGs, B12 injections, and basic wound care. Undertake health screening and provide relevant health promotion advice and literature to patients. Participate in seasonal and childhood vaccination and immunisation programmes. Liaise with relevant Health Care Professionals and members of the Primary Care Team as required. Act as a chaperone if required. Maintain a clean and tidy environment, order consumables and manage stock rotation, and ensure all equipment is in good working order. Maintain effective communication/ relationships/ understanding and co-operation between colleagues, GPs and other practice staff. Keep accurate and comprehensive written and/ or computer records at all times. Team working Understand own role and scope of practice. Work as an effective and responsible team member, supporting others and exploring mechanisms to develop new ways of working. Discuss, highlight and work with the team to create opportunities to improve patient care. Work with the allied health professional team to actively promote the workplace as a learning environment, encouraging everyone to learn from each other and from external good practice. Liaise with the clinical manager regarding any conflict, issues or concerns within the allied health professional team. Other Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the practice.
