We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Minor Injuries (MIU) Practitioner to join our in-house flexi team. You will provide frontline care and management of patients presenting with undifferentiated minor injuries and ailments, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centred care. Our Minor Injuries Units are located across the County of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and are waiting to welcome you into the team. We are accepting applications from qualified clinical professionals, including nurses, paramedics and physiotherapists. We can offer a range of shifts covering days and weekends and standard shifts are 7.5 -12.5 hours. Shift times may be negotiable. Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with undifferentiated minor injuries and illnesses such as treatment for lacerations, sprains and strains, broken bones (fractures), bites and stings, infected wounds, head injuries, eye problems such as infections or scratches, sports injuries, minor burns and scalds. Perform wound closure and minor joint and fracture reduction. Radiological requests within protocols. Educate patients and families about injury prevention and post-treatment care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions.
