Work with the Clinical Coding Manager/Deputy Clinical Coding Manager to implement day to day organisation of the clinical coding department workload to ensure targets are met and a high quality service is delivered. Carry out training programmes for all staff as required by the Clinical Coding Manager/Deputy Clinical Coding Manager. Supervise and support coding of more complex cases on a regular basis. Carry out validation of coded data as required by the Clinical Coding Manager/Deputy Clinical Coding Manager. Ensure all staff are booked on relevant training courses. Support the implementation of changes to rules and conventions of clinical coding classifications. Highlight data quality issues to other departments.
