There is plenty opportunity to participate in the ongoing research in the department. The successful candidates will be expected to participate in the service activities in the department. It is desirable that candidates have experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent. Overseas applicants are expected to be eligible for registration with the General Medical Council and have passed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum overall score of 7.5. This must be clearly outlined on their application. Please check the GMC website for details. Please note North Bristol NHS Trust will not pay any interview expenses in connection with this post. The post is best suited for trainees at the end of their urological training or post-CCT and wish to pursue a sub-specialty career. There is also plenty opportunity to participate in the ongoing research in the department. The post holder will participate in an on call rota, and will be responsible for the day to day management of ward patients. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the service activities in the department. Teaching The Bristol Urological Institute has an active teaching programme and Fellows and Registrars are expected to actively participate in this activity. The post holder will be available to undertake teaching sessions for medical studentsand junior doctors as required. In certain circumstances you may be required to cover a colleague's clinical duties in order that they may deliver teaching sessions Research 1/2 day dedicated research session is provided for all fellows/SpRs. There are several ongoing research projects and fellows are expected to participate in these projects as well as undertaking at least one audit project during their training.
