Planning is performed on a new RaySearch treatment planning system, with Diamond, PerFraction and Compass-Dolphin QC systems available. The Radiotherapy Physics Section of the Portsmouth Medical Physics Department is a team we are proud of here at PHU. We are looking to appoint into the band 5 technician or dosimetrist tole to join the established, friendly and enthusiastic team of 22. The post is suitable for technicians, dosimetrists, or radiographers with prior experience, or motivated candidates with a physical science or engineering first degree and transferable work experience that want to develop their careers.The role provides a flexible mix of radiotherapy treatment planning using advanced software, quality control and dosimetry measurements, support to theatre and workshop activities, and where applicable, development projects. This post is only open for applications for individuals employed within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Care System Organisations within scope are as follows: Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board Southern Health Foundation Trust Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust University Hospital Southampton Solent NHS Trust South Central Ambulance Service Isle of Wight NHS Trust Hampshire Hospitals Contribute to the technical and scientific service provided by the Medical Physics Department.
