Working closely with other professionals in the team, the post holders will work across traditional age barriers to provide a liaison service that is inclusive of all adults aged 18 and over, whilst being supported to develop expert skills in specific areas of liaison. This post will be supported by a clinical team consisting of psychiatrists, psychology, and associate nurse consultants. The service operates 7 days a week over 24 hours, therefore unsocial hours, including night duty is an expectation of this post. The successful candidate will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Learning Disability Nurse and have ENB 998 / C&G 730 or equivalent. Additionally, you should have evidence of continual professional learning relevant to the post. Experience with patients with Dementia and/or self harm behaviour, patients in crisis, and skills in CBT and Brief Solution Focused Therapy would be an advantage. You will require excellent communication skills and be able to work under pressure. 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework) is essential.
