An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Research & Development department for a Research Governance and Quality Officer post. The post holder will have an important role to sustain a culture where researchers are supported to perform high quality research with the dignity, rights, safety and well-being of participants being protected. Working with a wide range of health care professionals within this NHS trust, other trusts and universities, the postholder will monitor selected research studies and act as the main point of contact for safety reporting into R&D to ensure patient safety, high quality data and compliance with standards and relevant legislation. The successful candidate will also work very closely with Chief Investigators, their teams and clinical trials unit staff to support setup and sponsor and investigator oversight, playing a key role in ensuring the delivery of the regulatory, financial and contractual obligations of the sponsor. The successful delivery of this important post will require an understanding of clinical trials methodology, and up to date knowledge of current regulatory requirements and standards around clinical trials.
