Candidates can expect to undertake nurse led clinics, minor surgical procedures and leadership of nurses within the team alongside the Advanced Dermatology Nurse The Dermatology NurseSpecialist(DNS) will be competent to work in all nurse-led clinics. These could include a range of service-related activities such as: minor skin surgery (including suturing), cryotherapy, Photodynamic Therapy (PDT), skin cancer, isotretinoin, biologics and other systemic drug therapies. The DNS will provide expert evidence-based advice in relation to the care of people with dermatological conditions. To coordinate service provision, providing professional expertise, care and support to those needing treatment for dermatological conditions and their families.
