In addition to general cleaning responsibilities, the Team are trained to carry out deep cleaning following outbreaks of infectious illness, terminal cleaning of vacated isolation rooms and following maintenance. They are also trained to use specialist decontamination equipment such as Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour equipment. Previous experience of working within the cleaning industry would be beneficial but it is not essential as the successful candidates will receive on the job training and supervision. Uniform/protective clothing will also be provided. Rates of pay are circa £12.26 per hour, with enhanced rates for work undertaken on Saturday (£17.28 per hour) and Sunday (£22.43 per hour). We currently have opportunities in our Domestic Services Department for enthusiastic, motivated individuals. The posts will be based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. However, the successful candidate will need to be able to travel to Community Hospitals and Clinics; a shared vehicle will be available for this purpose. Therefore, please note that the ability to drive will be essential for this role. The Health Board offers excellent working conditions including a generous entitlement of paid holiday, enhanced pay for weekend working and an opportunity to join the Superannuation Pension Scheme We are offering a permanent contract of employment and hours of work will be: 35 hours a week - working a combination of 10am to 5:30pm and/or 12.30pm to 8.00pm to provide cover where needed on a rota which may include Bank Holidays and weekends as per the needs of the service.
