We provide ongoing care to a broad range of patients, ranging from those who are critically unwell, to those who need minimal rehabilitation or assessment and advice. You will be responsible for providing a high standard of assessment, advice, treatment and evaluation of patients referred to the acute Inpatient Occupational Therapy Service. In return, you will be supported in your efforts to build on your previous experience to further develop your clinical competencies and leadership skills. Current rotations are 6 months within: Acute Medicine Surgery Orthopaedics A&E, short stay wards and Frailty Palliative Care Possible community rotations with our partners in Hertfordshire and Essex Rotations and place of work may change according to the evolving nature of the integrated pathways across acute and community teams. A flexible and adaptable approach will be necessary to ensure delivery of an excellent OT service across all pathways. To provide an Occupational Therapy Service for Acute Inpatients at Princess Alexandra Hospital. Take responsibility for a specified caseload undertaking assessment, treatment, and evaluation of patients referred to the service To work as part of a Multi-disciplinary/Agency team Work as an autonomous professional according to College of Occupational Therapy 'Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct' and the 'Health Professions Council Regulations' Actively participate in Continuing Professional Development and contribute to the development of in-service training Work under the indirect supervision of the senior occupational therapist and carry out clinical and administrative duties.
