An extensive support package is available including full orientation and induction, structured placement rotations, academic programme and coaching, training and mentorship from inspirational and dynamic leaders. As a Management Graduate you will support the health service in providing high standards of service within a culture of continuous improvement, generating creative, innovative and sustainable ways of working. You will be encouraged to succeed, making the most of your skills and talents. To be considered you will, need a degree, or be anticipated to receive one this summer, and a minimum award of 2:2 will be required. However, we're not looking for particular subjects, we want people who share the values of NHS Wales, are committed to a public service career path and will throw everything into learning as much as possible with us. The NHS Wales Management Graduate Programme has been designed to develop and equip the next generation of leaders, to successfully manage new and emergent challenges, providing them with the knowledge, skills and experience to ensure NHS Wales continues to provide world-class healthcare. The programme will encompass a number of work placements within an NHS Wales organisation, exposing management trainees to management positions and supervised experience and responsibility for the management of services, staff and financial resources in a corporate or patient facing department. The range of placements offered will promote a comprehensive understanding of healthcare strategy, purpose and core business; with exposure to the current challenges leading to inception and delivery of innovative and meaningful change. Management trainees will be involved in a broad range of activities including work-based and academic learning. They will be encouraged to develop and nurture partnerships between healthcare teams, both internal and external to NHS Wales, Welsh Government and other public sector organisations, gaining valuable knowledge and experience tocreate opportunities to integrate and modernise services. This post is fixed term / secondment for 23 months due to the needs of the service. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
