As the successful candidate, you will be providing clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Healthcare dental centres, enhancing force generation and operational capability and minimising dental morbidity on operations. About us Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to: Undertaking Continuing Professional Development in the core subject of medical emergencies, infection prevention control (IPC), disinfection and decontamination, radiography and radiation protection; legal and ethical issues and handling complaints, as recommended by the General Dental Council. Carrying out and record daily maintenance, servicing and pre-use checks of dental equipment reporting defects in accordance with current equipment care policies. Ensuring adequate stocks of consumable dental materials are available within the surgery, maintain an effective expiry list ensuring all expired materials are removed and replaced as required. Ensuring surgeries are prepared appropriately for the days patients in accordance with current regulations. There may be a requirement to be part of the regional on call rota for out of hours dental emergencies. This commitment is dependent upon local arrangements and may vary. This commitment may also include travelling to dental centres within the region other than the normal place of work.
