An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Endoscopy Health Care Assistant to join the team at our Ilford Hospital. As an Endoscopy Health Care Assistant, you will work alongside the Endoscopy team, to support in providing patient centric care, recovery monitoring and care and endoscope decontamination during the entire pathways for all patients, depending upon training and competency About us Following training, the Health Care Assistant will be able to: Be responsible for decontamination and maintaining the supply of endoscopes to JAG decontamination standards. Help prepare clinical areas for clinical activities. Ensure the smooth running of the Endoscopy Unit and procedure lists by maintaining a can do attitude. Assist with stock management, equipment checking before use and safe storage after use. To keep up to date with good practice, maintain core competencies and continue to develop skills appropriate to Endoscopy practice. Adhere to good record keeping in line with corporate policies and procedures.
