Key roles and responsibilities: Working closely with the multidisciplinary team in assessing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating a dietetic programme of care for service users with an eating disorder. Ensuring that dietary recommendations are communicated by utilizing the highest level of interpersonal skills to all members of the team and incorporated in the service users overall package of care. Attending weekly MDT meetings to provide expert advice to clinicians regarding the progression of nutrition support which is evidence based. This will involve nutritional assessment to include calculation of nutritional requirements based on the interpretation of biochemistry, anthropometry, clinical condition and other physical parameters. Maintaining professional standards through ongoing continuing professional development, audit and evaluation in accordance with the Health and Care Professions Council Standards and Trust Policies and Procedures.
