Working alongside all members of the clinical team within the multidisciplinary framework, the Ward Clerical Officer is an essential part of the Team. Including helping to streamline the work of the ward, support and assist all members of the ward team to provide a quality service. The key responsibilities of this post will include managing the ward reception desk and the main reception desk as required, dealing with telephone enquiries from visitors and other departments, greeting all visitors to the ward and providing support to the clinical team. Working pattern to cover the needs of the service will be discussed at interview this will include working between 07:00-19:30 on the front reception and 07:00-18:00 on the ward reception which will be rotated. About us 1.To provide clerical support and assist the Ward manager or deputy Manager on the admission/transfer and discharge of patients. 2. To greet, welcome and help direct Patients, Relatives, Staff and the general public.3.To keep records up to date by using PAS i.e. patients admitted, transferred, discharged from the Ward. 4.Liaise with nursing staff over the discharge of patients, including where appropriate the collection of property from General Office, dispatching notes, arranging transport to peripheral areas. 5. To prepare clinical coding form for patient episode and ensure it is completed by medical staff. Please note that this advertised position, which is part of occupation code 4131 does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa (this includes if you are already in a sponsored post and looking to change employer).
