Reporting into the Lead Nurse for Epilepsy, your responsibilities will include: After a period of training, deliver nurse-led clinics, including new patient, adolescent, RHH transition (with jointly with adult nurses), rescue medication, and VNS battery check clinics. Provide epilepsy education and training to CYP, families, education professionals, and clinical staff on seizure management, rescue medications, and safety/lifestyle advice. Respond to advice line messages and emails from CYP, families, educational professionals, healthcare staff, and the wider MDT. Support CYP and families during the transition from children's to adult services. Support patients in consultant clinics, including Epilepsy reviews, Ketogenic Diet therapy, and Surgery clinics. Collaborate with other epilepsy teams locally and beyond to ensure coordinated care.
