Successful candidates will work within the Talking Therapies service, providing high intensity interventions whilst undertaking the 12 month Post-Graduate Diploma in High Intensity Psychological Interventions training course at University of Sheffield. Successful applicants will attend training with the University two days a week. The course is expected to begin on or around 04/03/25 and is delivered in person at University of Sheffield. There is, therefore, an expectation that all successful candidates will be able to travel to Sheffield for teaching 2 days per week for the duration of the 12 month course. Upon successful training completion, trainees will meet criteria to apply for provisional accreditation as a CBT therapist with the BABCP. Closing date: 03/11/24 Shortlisting: 04/11/24 - 05/11/24 Interviews will be conducted in two rounds: Round 1 : with Bradford District and Craven Talking Therapies a 1 day assessment centre (there are 3 possible dates for this 13, 15 or 20 Nov) Round 2 : Bradford District and Craven Talking Therapies service and University of Sheffield; TBC This intensive training will equip the post holder to provide CBT to clients with a range of common mental health problems, applying their newly learnt skills to a caseload of patients three days a week. Candidates who do not meet recognised core mental health profession requirements must submit a Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes (KSA) portfolio. A KSA portfolio has a number of criteria which must all be met by every applicant. There are some professional backgrounds which mean that the applicant has already met a number of the criteria, and can therefore provide a condensed KSA. Other backgrounds mean that the applicant must complete all of the sections. In addition to allocated university days and study time provided by the service, successful candidates will be expected engage in self-directed study in addition to allocated university days and any study time provided by the service.
