The ability to make balanced decisions and use positive risk taking approaches, whilst managing potentially high pressured situations is an essential part of this role. Acting as a resource in providing specialist advice, training, guidance and consultation to the team and partner agencies is also an integral aspect of the role. The applicant will be an essential member of the multi disciplinary team and will be able to facilitate the co-coordination of care on a multi disciplinary basis to children and young people. You will be able to demonstrate strong clinical leadership, coaching skills, excellent / sound knowledge of mental health care, complex risk assessment, safeguarding and its application to practice. About us The Clinical Specialist will take a lead role in delivery of clinical service to young people and their families. This will include supervision of clinicians and playing an active role in clinical decision making along with other clinicians. The post holder will provide expert care and support to all children, young people and families referred to the service providing evidenced based interventions based on need. The post holder will also formulate plans of care and negotiate implementations of such plans and the sharing of complex, sensitive, confidential and at times contentious information.
