Please note, CVs are not accepted. A new position has been created for an Auto Electrician with the EEAST Fleet department. As an Auto Electrician within our NHS Ambulance Service Garage, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in our fleet of ambulances and emergency response vehicles. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the reliability and functionality of critical electrical components, supporting the operational readiness of our vehicles for emergency medical response services. Key Responsibilities of the Role o Blue Light Systems: carry out full installation of Blue Light Systems in response cars. Attend required training for programming, fault finding and running repairs. Carry out full decommission and removal of Blue Light Systems from response cars at end of their service. o Radio Communications: carry out full installation of radio communications in the full range of Trust vehicles. Attend all relevant training courses and certification. Carry out full decommission and removal of Radio Communications from Trust vehicles at end of their service. o MDVS Systems: carry out full installation of MDVS Systems in the full range of Trust vehicles. Attend all relevant training courses and certification. Carry out full decommission and removal of the MDVS from Trust vehicles at end of their service. o Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components in ambulance and emergency response vehicles, including lighting, sirens, communication equipment, and auxiliary power systems.
