An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Stroke and Neurotherapy team . We are looking to recruit a skilled, experienced and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our team, to work on our Stroke and Neurotherapy rotation. University Hospitals Dorset provides a service for Poole and Bournemouth patients, therefore this post will involve rotations on both Poole Hospitals and Royal Bournemouth Hospital sites. In this post you will work as part of the collaborative therapy team, alongside Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy colleagues and therapy techs, and you will be supported by Band 7 therapists. This position will allow you to extend your specialised physiotherapy assessments and treatment skills, complex case management, and discharge planning. The post also includes supervision of more junior staff; involvement in service development initiatives; and in-service training. The rotations include Stroke Unit- RBH site Neuro inpatients - both sites Early Supported Discharge - cross site service Hyper Acute Stroke unit - RBH site Acquired Brain Injury unit - Poole site For the full duties of the post, please see the job description. To be successful in the post, you will have: A degree/ diploma in physiotherapy At least 18 months experience, including work within the NHS, and experience of working with stroke and/or neurological patients Excellent time management skills An ability to work as part of a team Car driver with car available for business use For full requirements of the post, please see the person specification.
