Ideally our chosen candidates will have proven post-registration experience in a trauma environment. We are keen to employ experienced nurses within our expanding Neurosciences Centre who have a background in trauma. We are looking for a highly motivated nurse with shared values to join our team. This is a unique exciting opportunity to join a team with vision, drive, and ambition. Education and development will be available to all successful candidates with opportunity to progress. *Unfortunately we are not able to consider applications from newly qualified nurses for this vacancy as previous experience working in the field of Neurosciences or a Trauma environment is essential. As stated in the shortlisting criteria, evidence of post-registration experience working with trauma patients is essential.* The post holder is responsible for the assessment of patient care needs and development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, both for a specific group of patients as the named care provider and in supporting the care of all patients. As a nurse you will assist in the management and organisation of work as required, ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times, providing support for junior staff. You will play a key role in the supervision and assessment of all learners and unregistered staff, providing a teaching role and acting as a named supervisor. Using your proven clinical experience and skills you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of programmes of care, both for a specific group of patients as the named care provider and in supporting the care of all patients on the ward / unit. You will assist in the management and organisation of work, as required, ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times and will provide support for junior staff on the ward. About us This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC Pin within the next 2-3 months. Please note an NMC PRN Pin is not a full NMC Pin and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role. The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receivea full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
