An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Staff Nurse to join the team at Bracken House Rehabilitation Unit. Bracken House is a busy 18 bedded rehabilitation unit for working age adults experiencing mental health problems. We have a strong Recovery focus. We value diversity, and a diverse range of perspectives about mental health. We have a high level of expertise in treatment resistant psychosis. We have a busy therapeutic group programme as well individual working, and opportunities for our patients' personal development, learning skills, and robust support for move on. We are seeking a proactive, compassionate, caring and recovery focused registered nurse (mental health) with excellent communication skills to join our existing dynamic multidisciplinary team to be involved in extensive assessments and formulations to support the planning and delivery of patients care. The multidisciplinary team all work in a way that is collaborative, evidenced based and responsive to people's needs. The post is full time, part time can be considered, and features combinations of shift patterns including early, late and night shifts. The main responsibilities of the job are : To assess, plan, implement, promote and evaluate safe, creative andeffective treatment plans in collaboration with the patients diverseneeds, their carers and other professionals. Interventions will be evidence based and designed to reduce stressand anxiety, manage risk and aid recovery. To maintain accurate, timely and relevant clinical records both writtenand computerised. To maintain the safe custody of healthcarerecords. Responsible for the safe monitoring, management and administrationof medication as required by Trust policy. To be aware of and apply the principles of Infection Prevention andControl and to comply with policy, procedure and guidance. To obtain and interpret physical Healthcare observations Demonstrate and be responsible for the safe application of relevant,up-to-date legislation including the Mental Health Act, Mental CapacityAct and Deprivation of Liberty, safeguarding etc. You must be a RMN or equivalent and registered with the NMC. You must be able to work flexible hours on a 24hr rota including weekends and bank holidays. Applicants must have some experience of working within the mental health setting, be flexible, hardworking and compassionate with a desire to work in a fast pace environment.
