The rotational post provides an excellent opportunity to broaden your knowledge in a range of specialties such as: Stroke Medicine Elderly Care Surgery & Orthopaedics Neuro rehabilitation (Currently based at West Berkshire Community Hospital) Acute Medical Unit (front door services) We offer a comprehensive support package for band 5's to develop their skills; including the use of a band 5 passport which covers key skills and learning opportunities required, workshops and training sessions, and an OT specific practice educator on site. We also have a strong band 5 support group, a buddy system and regular in service sessions. To be an occupational therapist delivering patient centred, caring Therapy for Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust Hospital (RBFT). To be professionally responsible for all aspects of your own work including the therapeutic management of patients in your care, in conjunction with your supervisor. To use your occupational therapy knowledge and skills to provide support and advice to the Multi- disciplinary team and to manage own caseload of patients as an autonomous practitioner.
