Working 4 days Monday -Friday 8am-6pm. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work alongside and support our chemotherapy team. The post provides support to Registered Nurses and other members of the multi-professional team to deliver nursing care and treatment within the out-patient chemotherapy environment and includes the chemotherapy network clinics. The Health Care Support Worker role also involves the undertaking of clerical duties; providing hands-on care, assistant and emotional support to patients and their relatives; performing phlebotomy, performing observations T.P.R. BM urinalysis, care of central lines, cannulation and maintain documentation. The post will also be responsible for obtaining blood results for the OTR service. There is also an element of housekeeping, which involves ordering stock, keeping the unit clean and tidy and providing refreshments to patients. Excellent communication skills are essential and cannulation experience is desired.
