This will be a role play and aptitude exercise. You will have a chance to meet some of our PWPs, see our main office, and ask questions about the role. The second will be held online, over Microsoft Teams, with university representative on the panel. We will be hosting a webinar on 05 Nov 2024 if you'd like to learn more about the role and course. This role involves attending the PWP training course at Reading University to learn how to deliver low intensity evidence-based interventions in the NICE guidelines. The successful candidate will work with the service to deliver assessments and treatments for mild to moderate symptoms of common mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety. The range of treatments you may provide would include one-to-one guided self-help via telephone & video, with the opportunity to offer face-to-face in addition to cCBT programmes, webinars, workshops and psycho-educational groups. About us Reports To - Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Direct Reports - None Location - Hybrid (West/East/North hub, home based, and Reading University) Hours - 37 hours per week Salary Range: £26,530 (Equivalent to NHS Band 4, upon qualification NHS Band 5) Purpose The purpose of this role is to attend the PWP training course to learn how to deliver low intensity evidence-based interventions in the NICE guidelines whilst working with the service to provide the full range of evidence-based treatment to a caseload of Step 2 patients. The range of treatments you may provide would include one-to-one guided self-help via telephone & video. This will include face-to-face appointments, cCBT programmes, webinars, workshops and psycho-educational groups. You will need to work on a rota basis, including late shifts to meet the needs of the service. You will also be required to manage your own diary and caseload. This includes liaison with external services, data entry, and follow up work regarding patient appointments. Principal Accountabilities Clinical Undertake collaborative assessments using NHS Talking Therapies standardised measures by phone or face to face. In these assessments you will identify the areas where the person wishes to see change or recovery. Assess risk to self and from/to others and take safeguarding actions when needed. When assessed as appropriate, offer low intensity treatment options in accordance with NICE Guidance. This is delivered by phone, video, or face to face in identified sites across Hampshire. Co-facilitate the delivery of group and workshop interventions at community venues and via webinars. When assessed as not appropriate for Step 2, explore appropriate support with patient. This could be stepping up in the stepped care model, signposting/referring to other services, such as GPs, specialist services, and/or social care. Required to liaise with external services through meetings, emails, or phone calls about patients. Work closely with Step 3 workers, ensuring appropriate stepping-up and stepping-down arrangements are in place in line with the stepped care approach and service policies and procedures. Managing your diary and maintaining a caseload to meet the service requirements. Complete all requirements relating to data collection and recording within the service. Recording all clinical and nonclinical activity on our patient management system in a timely manner. Complete Patient Experience Questionnaires (PEQs) with patients. Administration Carry out reviews after treatment with patients where required/appropriate. Provide resources to patients by email or post, considering their accessibility needs. Complete written referrals to other external services. Sharing information with external services involved in the patients treatment. Obtain patient notes from historic/previous services. Input the Minimum Data Set (MDS) into the patient database in a timely manner. Ensure signposting information is kept up to date. Complete discharges within a timely manner. Professional Agreeing and upholding confidentiality agreement with patients. Prepare for and attend clinical/managerial supervision on a regular basis. Attend all supervisions, wellbeing meetings, and service meetings. Participate in individual annual appraisal review and respond to agreed service objectives. Once Qualified, work towards Accredited status with either the British Psychological Society (BPS) or the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychologists (BABCP). The cost of this registration is met by the individual staff member and will be required as part of maintaining their contract of employment. Training Attend and fulfil all the requirements of the course at identified University. Receive supervision from educational providers in relation to course work to meet the required standards. Attend relevant training/workshops in line with identified professional objectives.
