Provide General nursing care including:- wound care removal of sutures request pathology tests hypertension management ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels health promotion vaccinations c. Carry out New Patient Registration examinations on new patients d. Perform ECGs e. Venesection (not routine) f. Travel & childhood Vaccination g. Provide holistic family planning health service to women including advice on all methods of contraception including LARC assess and administer injectable contraception offer opportunistic sexual health screening and ensure patients are advised and treated appropriately provide assessment and sampling for cervical cytology To Doctors a. To provide a high standard of general nursing care including health promotion. To promote integrated nursing practice within the wider nursing team (Practice Nurses, District Nurses and Health Visitors) underpinned by the development of evidence based practice guidelines, for shared delivery of care to the whole practice population.
