We would expect you to be an enthusiastic and highly motivated cancer nurse wishing to develop management and leadership skills in a dynamic and genuinely supportive environment. This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly. Our wards are nurse led and are supported by a nursing infrastructure including a dedicated nursing central venous access team, nursing chemotherapy team and a nursing educational team. Not only does this provide our ward nurses with opportunities to develop quickly, it gives them the time to care properly for patients. Our nursing ward ratios are on average 1 nurse to 3 or 4 patients. GWB 3 North is a 17 bedded ward where you will have the opportunity to look after haematology patients with undergoing different types of treatments, including chemotherapy, CAR-T and stem cell transplant.
