We are looking for someone who is able to support and coordinate a team of nursery practitioners as our Deputy Nursery Manager. The role will involve supporting the Nursery Manager in delivering high quality childcare and education to the children of staff who work for Great Ormond Street Hospital, ensuring our excellent standards are maintained. Key responsibilities include:o Deputising the Nursery Manager in their absence.o Co-ordinating the day to day operations for a particular age group.o Supporting staff with the planning, evaluation and next steps for children across the nursery.o Working in partnership with the team, providing support and assistance in all areas of the nursery as necessary.o Monitoring observations and learning journals in adherence to nursery's protocols and the EYFS.o To act as a key worker to named children, carrying out observations/developmental reports for each child and liaising with parents regularly.o Act as a positive and professional role model to colleagues and children. To be considered for the role you will be:You will need to have a minimum of a foundation degree in Childcare and extensive experience of a senior role in a busy nursery environment, together with excellent knowledge of the child development and current practices. Ideally you will have a track record of leading and delivering quality provision.This role will involve working varying shifts between the hours of Monday and Friday from 7.00am - 7.00 so some flexibility is required.
