Are you passionate about service delivery and delivering exceptional patient care? Our friendly and experienced team is currently looking to recruit a Driver to support our clinical staff in our GP out of hour's service. The post holder will work as part of an out of hours operational team chauffeuring and supporting medical staff to undertake home visits in the effective and efficient delivery of a high quality out of hours service to NHS Berkshire West. The post will include supporting medical staff to undertake some clinical tasks. This is an exciting opportunity if you are enthusiastic and well-motivated and wish to join an efficient team working to provide an essential service. In return we can offer a chance to refine and develop your skills in a fast paced and diverse environment, fully supported by the senior team and the wider organisation. Drive medical staff to home visits in a safe and timely manner Maintain effective communication with dispatching staff Ensure all medical bags and equipment are stowed at the beginning of each duty session and assist medical staff with locating bags and equipment Follow the service's operational procedures for checking vehicles before the beginning of each duty session including fuel, water, oil levels. Complete data entries. Handover vehicles to oncoming drivers with sufficient fuel and in a clean and tidy condition internally Work as part of a team supporting and assisting qualified staff with patient care within the Urgent Care setting About us Themust haves for you to be considered for this role: Valid manual driving licence Flexibility with working hours/days including evenings, overnights, weekends, bank holidays and Christmas/Easter festive periods Computer literate with an ability to navigate common systems and software including internet and email For further information about the role, please see attached job description and person specification.
