The Ipswich Cardiology department is established, busy and expanding. It provides a range of inpatient and outpatient cardiology services including, but not limited to, coronary angiograpy, PCI, pacing, complex echo, cardiac MRI. There are current plans to expand the PCI service and to develop a coronary CT service. There are currently 15 cardiology consultants across the two sites with 8 based at Ipswich. A range of subspeciality interests are supported. Catheter Laboratories There are two catheter laboratories on the Ipswich site and one shared facility on the Colchester site. Clinics General outpatient clinics are offered as well as sub-specialty clinics. The consultants are supported by a team of registrars, resident doctors, specialist nurses, cardiac physiologists and radiographers..
