Psychology input is highly valued by the wider MDT team, and you would be warmly welcomed and able to make a positive contribution to the lives of people with learning disabilities. We are part of a multidisciplinary community team known as Sirona Adult Learning Disability Health Service (SALDHS). We enjoy close working relationships with clinicians working with people with LD across the region. We accept a wide range of referrals are varied and can include working with loss, trauma, relationships, neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric conditions (including autism spectrum disorders), dementia and neuro degenerative conditions, mental health difficulties, and risk of harm to self or others. We draw on expertise from a range of clinical areas and theoretical orientations. Our service covers Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire, but the post holder would have a base in Bristol. We use a hybrid model of home-office working. The post is up to 37.5 hours a week, with flexibility about core hours. We will consider full-time or part-time hours, job share and/or flexible hours. To assist in the effective and efficient delivery of a Psychology service toadults with Learning Disabilities under the clinical supervision of an HCPCregistered Practitioner Psychologist. This includes assessment, formulation, intervention and evaluation with service users and their families/support networks. This could be working one-to-one, in groups, and/or delivering training or psychoeducation. It could also involve research and development activity to improve the ALDH service, when required.o To work alongside other members of the multi-disciplinary ALDH teams and other services/external agencies to ensure the effective delivery of theservice on a day-to-day basis.
